FAQ
Short answers about running a wedding on Arusi HQ — keeping records, guests, organizers, committee, food, day-of tools, certificates, and Wekify’s mission to Preserve, Empower, and Modernize.
What is Arusi HQ?+
A wedding management app that helps you run the day and keep the record. Guests get one share link. Organizers run invitation & RSVP, members & committee, menu & inventory, announcements & feed, door check-in, program, certificates, and reports from one dashboard — so the details do not disappear into chats and forgotten lists.
Why does this platform exist?+
People even forget the dates of their weddings — because nothing was written down. The feelings stay; the facts fade: who came, who RSVPed, who served on the committee, what was cooked, who checked in, what the program said. Chat threads and paper lists disappear. Arusi HQ keeps the living record while you run the wedding — then leaves your family with more than photos. That is Wekify’s mission in practice: Preserve (one place for the date, guests, roles, RSVPs, meals, check-ins, program, announcements, and certificates), Empower (shared tools and clear jobs so the day does not depend on one person), and Modernize (one guest link and one dashboard instead of scattered lists — without erasing culture). See also the About page.
What does Arusi mean?+
Arusi is Kiswahili for wedding — equivalent to Harusi. The fuller story is on the About page.
Who is it for?+
Couples and co-organizers who manage a wedding, committee roles on the day, and guests who need one link to RSVP and stay updated.
Is Arusi HQ free to use?+
Yes. Everything you need to run your wedding is free to use: invitations, RSVPs, guests, organizer tools, and day-of tools without a subscription.
Which languages are supported?+
App chrome is currently available in English, French, Swahili, and Kifuliiru · β. Other languages can be added by request if accurate translated copy is provided for the English interface text, especially for underrepresented languages.
How do guests join?+
They open your /w/ link, sign in, and join. If you added them by email, signing in with that email claims their roster row. Guests do not need an extra inbox confirmation.
Do I need to confirm my email?+
Not to join as a guest. To create a wedding or become a co-organizer, open your hub and confirm that inbox from the link we send. Existing organizers already organizing a wedding do not have to do this again.
Who builds Arusi HQ?+
Wekify LLC. Arusi HQ is the wedding management product in the Peacae / Peacae Events family. Founded by Ayivugwe Kabemba Mukome.
What is Wekify?+
Wekify is the technology company behind Arusi HQ. Motto: Preserve. Empower. Modernize. Arusi HQ puts that mission into wedding management — keep the record, help families organize clearly, and bring modern tools without erasing culture. Learn more on the Wekify about page.
How do I contact you?+
Use the Contact page, or reach Wekify and Peacae through their websites.
What are certificates?+
Formal certificates of appreciation. Wedding organizers award them to committee members. Arusi HQ produces the sheet and unique AHQ-C code. Wekify authenticates verification. Recipients can download after signing in; anyone can verify a code on the Certificates page.
Who awards certificates — Wekify or the organizers?+
Organizers award committee certificates. Arusi HQ produces them. Wekify authenticates the codes. Official Arusi HQ organizer certificates — awarded by Wekify — are coming next.
How do committee roles work?+
Organizers assign committee roles and permissions (for example door check-in, program, certificates, or feed). Helpers get the tools they need without opening the whole dashboard to everyone.
Can Arusi HQ help with food planning?+
Yes. Guests choose meals and drinks on RSVP. Organizers see counts, dietary notes, and a shopping view with kg and cost estimates based on who is attending.
How does door check-in work?+
Attending guests get a check-in code or QR on their pass. Protocol teams scan or enter the code at the door so you know who has arrived.
When can new people still join my wedding?+
Joins stay open until the wedding ends time you set. After that, new people cannot join from the share link. Guests who already joined keep the wedding and feed. Leave the end time empty to keep joins open.
How do I share the wedding with guests?+
Share your /w/ link from the organizer overview or Details page. Guests open it for the invitation, RSVP, meals, updates, and check-in. You can copy the link or use the share button next to the guest link.
Can Arusi HQ support events that are not weddings?+
Yes in spirit — and carefully in practice. Arusi HQ is wedding-native today. The same model (one guest link, roster, helper roles, day-of tools, and certificates) can support other gatherings such as graduations, memorials, reunions, and community celebrations. Weddings stay the deepest focus; other events are a natural expansion of the same operating room.
Whose celebration traditions does Arusi HQ support?+
Arusi HQ is rooted in African celebration culture, and every tradition is welcome — Western, Asian, Latin American, Middle Eastern, island, church or civil, and every mix. We do not force one culture; we give you one shared plan for how your celebration actually runs.
